3 Tactics Successful Real Estate Marketers Use Every Day

Real Estate Marketing
The competition in real estate marketing has never been harder than today. In order to thrive in this business a lot of work and dedication is required. Like washing your face in the morning; there are certain tasks that successful real estate agents undertake everyday to ensure a fruitful outcome.

You know that running a successful business relies on paying regular and thoughtful attention to many details, but how often do you actually sit down and spend quality time on those necessities? Most agents would say "not very enough". The quiet before the storm is an excellent time to organize your daily strategy.

Here are three things successful real estate agents do every morning.

1) Attack the administrative work.

The number of day-to-day chores required just to keep your real estate business running can be overwhelming. Taking time in the morning to address them not only helps keep your pile of paperwork from toppling, it can also remind you of other to-do items that might have gotten buried. The first thing you should do is return every inquiry that came in overnight, whether online or by email, text or voice mail. Make a dent in your documentation, including agreements and lease records, then submit or file them as needed. Note any appointments, tours and meetings you have, and any prep work you need to accomplish for them to go off without a hitch.

2) Generate leads.

You should always dedicate time every day for lead generation, and making it a non-negotiable morning task is a surefire way to see that it gets done. Take a moment to organize your database; even if you update just five records a day, you're making progress. Think about people you encounter every day and add them to your sphere of influence. Reach out to homeowners with expired and For Sale By Owner listings and see if they're open to your assistance. Take a critical eye to your listing presentation and refresh it.

A good strategy is to reconnect with past clients; invite them to coffee or stop by with an anniversary gift to see what their current needs are, offer an updated market report, thank them for their review or remind them that you'd still welcome theirs and ask if they have any friends or relatives they could refer.

3) Make time for marketing.

All groaning aside, marketing your business doesn't have to be an ordeal; there are several ways to make those necessary tasks more manageable on a daily basis. Revisit your marketing plan and update your strategies and tactics as needed. Finalize the design for your promotional materials, including flyers, postcards and business cards. Update your blog and keep your audience engaged with relevant and helpful information. Plot your social media posts and updates for the month.

Take a look at your Zillow profile and add any past sales, listings and reviews that haven't made it up there yet. Refresh your website with listing photos, upcoming neighborhood events, open houses, social media handles and other updates. Organize a sweepstakes, contest or giveaway to drive traffic to your website.

Once you get in the habit of tackling a few business tasks in the morning, you might find it's not a chore at all rather, it's the best productivity tool in your arsenal. Spending a couple hours addressing a few tasks at a time is much more manageable and effective than putting them all off until "someday" that we all know will never come. Developing this good habit can pay off with steady leads and increased business.
